Kristie Huthnance was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2001 and brings over 20 years’ experience across legal, compliance, operational risk, financial crime, and governance.

In 2008, Kristie developed and implemented one of the early AML/CTF programs, and has since gone on to lead Financial Crime functions across Australian and international financial services organisations.

She has worked closely with boards, executives, legal teams, and operational leaders, helping organisations translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical, and efficient frameworks that work in real operating environments.

Her approach is calm, practical, and grounded in regulatory reality. She focuses on helping firms to make an honest effort to meet their AML/CTF obligations, while providing the clarity and structure needed to mature their compliance program sustainably over time.
